École d’été de myologie 2017 / Summer School for Myology

From basic muscle sciences to clinical myology, MyoGrad offers to young scientists and physicians the Summer School for Myology Versailles/Paris/Berlin.

du 6 juin 2017 au 10 juin 2017

Du 6 au 10 juin 2017
Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC) and Institut de Myologie (IM)
Two teaching modules, one focused on basic muscle science (part I, see below), the other more clinically oriented (part II, see also http://www.institut-myologie.org/enseignement/). Altogether they comprise more than 60 lectures and workshops on the topic of muscle science held by world leading scientists and clinicians and provide expert knowledge on this highly specialized subject. The two parts have been closely coordinate, complement each other and take place in this form since 2010.

Part I of our annual French-German Summer School for Myology will this year, for the first time, be held at three different universities: UVSQ, UPEC and UPMC grouping the expertise of different French laboratories. Thirty teaching units will cover the whole field of basic muscle research, from muscle development to muscle stem cells, muscle regeneration and treatment of neuromuscular disorders. Students can meet scientists that work on the forefront of muscle research and who will give lectures on their respective topics. Each day will start with two guest lectures, followed by two half-day workshops and ending with a session of selected student short talks. The last day, the 10th of June, will be a special lecture day in a small conference venue in the middle of the garden of Château de Versailles. We hope that this mix of teaching, enjoyment and culture will foster academic education in the field of muscle sciences.

Please find here below , the detailed workshop descriptions, for the Part I of our Summer School, 6-10 June 2017 and a link to some hotels.

We would like to acknowledge the Université Franco-allemande (http://www.dfh-ufa.org) as the main sponsor of this event.
