The Demande d'Admission Prélable (Request for preliminary admission)

What is it?

The Demande d’Admission Préalable (DAP : Request for Preliminary Admission) is a compulsory registration procedure for all foreign students outside the European Union, holders of a foreign high school diploma, residing in France or in a foreign country.

For whom?

The Demande d’Admission Préalable concerns candidates applying for registration in:

  • First year of Bachelor's degree
  • Première Année Commune aux Etudes de Santé (PACES, First Common Year for Health Studies)

You are not concerned by the DAP if:

  • You are preparing a French baccalaureate (Advanced Level), a European baccalaureate, a bi-national baccalaureate or you have already been enrolled in a French Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles (CPGE : undergraduate courses to prepare nationwide competitive exams in liberal arts, economics or sciences) : apply on the Parcoursup website
  • You are a scholarship holder of the French government, a stateless person or a political refugee holding an OFPRA card, or the child of a diplomat serving in France (and you reside in France yourself) : apply directly for the training you are interested in (see "contacts" on the training sheets in our online catalogue).

How?

If you live in France, download the green file and the explanatory leaflet.

If you live in a country that does not have a Campus France area, download the white folder and explanatory leaflet.

If you live in a country with a "Studies in France" procedure, you must apply online from their website
